UW This Season: One of several returning letterwinners...brings great size and depth to the floor.

Freshman (2008-09): Played in her first regular season game of her career against North Dakota (11/20/08)...recorded a career high two points along with two rebounds in that game...played in five games total on the year...against New Mexico (3/7/09), she played three minutes and had two points and two rebounds...finished with four rebounds in the second exhibition game against Metro State (11/7/08)...played limited minutes in the opening exhibition game against UC-Colorado Springs (11/4/08), but recorded four rebounds.

High School: A three-time First Team All-League selection while attending Palmer High School...was also named Honorable Mention All-State twice and Second Team All-League during her career...for her senior year, she was named the 5-A CS Metro League Player of the Year, while averaging just over 11 points and leading her team to a 20-4 overall record and a first place finish in the league...was selected to play in the Colorado coaches All-Star game, the All-State games and The Show, Colorado's All-Star game played at the Pepsi Center...as a junior, she averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game while being named the team MVP...was a four-year starter, while being a team captain for two years...her team made it in to the Sweet 16 of the 5A Colorado State Tournament two out of three years and had a combined record of 56-17 overall during that time...was coached by Dave Shackleford...an excellent student, she was CHSSA Academic All-State and All-Conference, while being the Student Council president as a sophomore and junior and the Student Body Vice President as a senior.

Personal: Full name is Leah Frances Fitzgerald...born May 1, 1990 in Colorado Springs, Colo...the daughter of Sheri and John Orinjok and the late Ed Fitzgerald...has two siblings, Elgin and Marli...undecided on a college major.
